Database of radiocarbon dates of archaeological contexts of the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park

This dataset contains a detailed list of radiocarbon dates obtained by AMS on samples from archaeological contexts in the Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park (PNAESM). The PNAESM is an area of rugged mountain terrain located in the western Pyrenees of Catalonia, with altitudes ranging from 3,033 to 1,500 meters above sea level. The archaeological research that led to this database began in 2004 and is still ongoing, carried out by the High Mountain Archaeology Group (GAAM) of the UAB and the CSIC.

 The datings come from contexts/sites documented both during survey campaigns and in subsequent extensive excavations. 

The following elements make up the dataset:

- A table with the different radiocarbon datings, including context information, site (name, coordinates, characteristics), and material

- The laboratory reports for the datings- A file with scripts to replicate the calculations

- Several folders with tables and graphs summarizing the data
