ArcheoLogica Data 5.1/2025

This introduction to the volume makes clear the institutional value of the complete publication, by the archaeologists who produced them in the field, of the scientific data acquired during preventive and predictive archaeology activities conducted under the scientific direction of the Superintendency of Enna. It, therefore, describes the genesis, methodology and objectives of the work, which constitutes a monograph of the ArcheoLogica Data journal and was born from the decadal collaboration of the author with the open data project MAPPA of the University of Pisa, according to which the raw data acquired from archaeological research are uploaded in open format to the MOD repository, which remains available for future publications of archaeological investigations in the province of Enna. The cultural objective of the editorial project is therefore clarified: the creation of a tool for disseminating present and future archaeological knowledge in the Erei territory.
